Kona and snow?

I test drove the Kona at my dealership and it feels great and drives well, but there's one thing I can't try and that's snow performance and I don't want to get something that doesn't do a good job and regret it. I'm looking at the 2025 model, but I think the 2024 is the same, so anyone here drove their Kona in snow? Preferably the AWD model with the CVT transmission.

That's smart to consider snow performance!
The AWD Kona generally handles snow well, and the 2024-2025 models are essentially the same.
Some Konas also have a snow drive mode, which helps with traction.
The CVT combined with AWD provides smooth power delivery, which is helpful in slippery conditions.
But I think the biggest factor will always be your tires.
Investing in dedicated winter tires makes a huge difference, far more than AWD alone.
All-seasons are okay for light snow, but don't offer the same grip.

Handles snow pretty well, traction is solid and it feels stable on slippery roads, throw on some good winter tires, and you'll be set for most snowy conditions

Thanks for the info. I absolutely will be using a summer and winter combo and will very likely get something from Michelin or Continental, I was interested in the overall performance so that I know what to expect or if it doesn't do well, to consider something else.

My concern would be how that CVT holds up in deep snow or on icy inclines, AWD helps, but if the transmission isn't tuned well for slippery conditions, you could still run into traction or control issues.
