Fin antenna broke

While installing my new Michelin crossclimate2 tires, the guy backed my car out without opening the garage door fully and hit my shark fin antenna. They just taped the hole but I think there's a dent in the roofing too. They said they'll fix everything, but I think I deserve to have some kind of discount on the tires too. Anybody encountered such experience? Wondering if there's anything I should know about the install since I saw wires hanging from the old one and im kinda having 2nd thoughts of having it installed by them. The trauma is real lol.

Definitely push for a discount, because you can see it's not just cosmetic, it's a roof dent and potential wiring issue, shark fin usually handles GPS, radio, sometimes more, so the hanging wires shouldn't be seen as nothing, it's your car, you're not overreacting.

You're right, it was very unprofessional and yeah i remember now that it does handle the gps.. I have some more that I need them to do, im gonna ask for a really good discount this time.

No way, you're totally right to be concerned. A dented roof and exposed wires? That's a big deal, especially since the antenna controls GPS and stuff. I'd push hard for a discount. And honestly, if they don't fix this right, I might not let them touch anything else

If it were me, I'd be asking for a discount and a proper fix by someone who knows what they're doing. Damaging the roof and antenna is not a minor mistake.
